Cammie Dawson is a Los Angeles based cinematographer, camera assistant, & photographer. She can most easily found on set as the anomalous femme, vegan, disabled & queer one pulling focus or swinging a combo stand.

As a visual artist, a photographer since 2014, and a graduate of Emerson College, she specializes in fine art self-portraiture, street photography, and imaginative, conceptual portraits. On the film side she has experience across narrative features, shorts, commercials, music videos, and has a special adoration for travel jobs.

Her approach to imagery frequents vintage lenses and experimental techniques in order to create an intimate, unreal aesthetic. One that is both dreamlike and self-reflexive to blur the distinction between reality and fantasy; evoking emotion regardless of any words captured.

Outside of her work she is a lover of dance, travel, vegan food and particularly chai. Spending her time amid houseplant jungles and charcoal drawings. And as always willing to delve into any new film, photo, or art projects.
